We got a call from Canyonlands National Park that a rangers vehicle had caught fire and burnt down. They needed us to go get it. So we loaded up Trailmater, Mini-Mater and the recovery trailer and went after it. It was almost to the campgrounds at the end of Dollhouse Road. There were many comments from a previous video that a vehicle we recovered from here before had government plates. I have yet to understand the backlash to this. We recover vehicles, doesn't matter who they belong to. If someone calls and for help, we try to go. These vehicles are out on these roads every day, they see alot of maintenance, yet things still get missed or things fail. That's just the nature of the terrain we deal with out here. After breaking Trailmater's rear axleshaft recovering racecars we needed to pull everything apart to see the damage. Then we got a call for a wrecked jeep on Poison Spider. So Mike and I went up and got it and drove it down. Then back to repairs on Trailmater. Ended up having to machine the locker back to round. Ultra4 race organization came to Moab to put on an event at Area BFE. They swung by the shop and asked if we could help with recovery for the event. We were happy to help so we loaded all the rigs up and headed out there. The first day was qualifying and the stock class race. Then day 2 were the modifieds and the 4400 cars. Both days had us running between races to clear the courses for the next race and then clearing everything g at the end of the day. We got them all out but did break a rear axleshaft in Trailmater. We got a call for a Lexus that had swamped his engine at the creek crossing g on Kane Creek Road. So Mike and Shawn took the Silver Dodge and the offroad rollback in to get it. Then we had to run up to Hurrah Pass to get on of Moab Side By Sides rental machine. That one was able to be fixed and driven out. Then we got a call for a Toyota 4runner that was stuck in the beginning of Lockhart Basin. So we ran in to help him. We admitted to being in a little over his head. He just wanted winched out so he could continue on cuz he wasn't comfortable going back down what he went up(which good on him for admitting that and going with what he felt better with.) Out to the Dollhouse Trail once again for a broken front trackbar bracket on an FJ-80. Then the very next day it was out to Hole In The Rock Trail for a 382 JL that the starter had dies on. We got a call from dispatch that they were responding to a rolled vehicle on Golden Spike Trail. They were going on to get the person out but they needed us to go get the vehicle so we had no idea how bad it was or wasn't. So we took Mini-Mater on to see if we could get it or if we needed the bigger truck. We decided to come in through Rusty Nail as that is the fastest way in. However it is more difficult, and on he second obstacle I broke a rear shaft. We were able to continue on and make it to the vehicle. Once there we decided this would be a fairly simple recovery. So we flipped it back on its wheels, pulled spark plugs, and got it driving again. The next day we put upgraded shafts in the rear of Mini-Mater to make it better.
