Shawn and I ran up Moab Rim to help with a Jeep that had hydrolocked. We got there and the people had pulled it up to a level area and pulled 2 of the plugs. We got there and pulled the rest of the intake manifold and the other 4 plugs. Once all the plugs were out we tried to crank it over and realized the started was fried. So we ran down to carquest while the customer pulled the old starter. Once we got back we installed the new starter and cranked it over to blow out the cylinders. Then we reinstalled the plugs and intake and fired it up. It smoked a little and was ready for them to drive it back down to town. Then back in the shop it was a little more tweaking on the race car. A little test drive turned into a blown tire so we had to swap some spares around. Pretty sure we have it dialed in and race ready. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us. So after all the cooling systems changes and moving all the coolers we decided to take them out to White Wash Sand Dunes north of Moab. This is an open use area with a large wash running through it. We went out there in the middle of the week so we had it all to ourselves and could get some practice and miles on the car making sure everything was working well. For the most part I was very happy with how everything went and was working. Of course our first lap up the wash we had a rollover, luckily no injuries other than pride. We did some dune running and some Slickrock climbs and some more runs through the wash. Was a great time and thank you to everyone for watching and supporting us. Was a busy Friday. We got a call for a 2wd Toyota truck stuck in the sand that I sent Mike and Shawn to go pull out. Then another call came in for a minivan stuck near where they were. I got a call for an adventure bike in Lockhart Basin. The rider had been medi-vac Ed the day before so I ran in to get the bike. I got to the chicken sign covered in rubber chickens for the Chicken Corners route when I locked in my hubs. Then 200 feet later the front driveline fell out. So I removed it and reinstalled the transfer case shift linkage and continued on. I got to the bike and got it loaded, only had to winch once.
