We got a call to get a burned side by side out in the desert by Grand Junction, right near the race course from my Junction race. We knew it's general location but not exact, so in our travels to locate it we took some questionable trails to get there and it ended up costing me a pintle hitch. However we were able to finish the job with the broken one. We got it all cleaned up and to the scrap yard. Then as Shawn and Mike were heading back to Moab a call came in for a broken RZR at the beginning of Steelbender Trail. So they ran in and got that out. Then some shop time on Trailmater. We headed out onto Steelbender Trail for a Jeep that had flipped onto its roof. We got there and decide the best way to unflip it without doing further damage was to go uphill. So we had to get the truck up above the jeep. Then with some creative rigging we flipped it back over into its wheels. Then we made sure it would crank. Once we got it back to level ground we checked all the fluids and made sure it was good to drive out. They followed us out to make sure all was well. We got calls for 2 separate sxs's that had burned on the same day. We ran up and got the first one from the Top Of The World Trail. It was a 2 seater that had caught fire while driving and the driver got out but it rolled to the edge of the road and caught a couple trees on fire also. Then the next day Shawn and Mike went out onto Dome Plateau to get the other one. That one was a 4 seater, we don't know what happened but it was at the Overlook and away from and trees or bushes. So here's my second race in the Bonneville Offroad Racing Series. This was in Grand Junction Colorado and I was so excited cuz it's in an area I'm very familiar with. We got to pre run the course on Friday and I was ready. We lined up Saturday morning and off I went. Everything was going good, I felt good, the car felt good. Was passing cars and working my way up. Then right before mile 21 on the first lap... The tire broke off. I got out and looked at it and it was nothing I could fix there. So I got a ride back to the pits and waited for the race to finish. Matt got a call, so they called me to help with a Lexus that had crashed off a cliff. We got there and tried to pull it up with brute force. It worked for a bit, then we switched to a twin line winch pull with Matt's truck for the final pull and picking it up the cliff.
